IMAX says the 50th anniversary re-release coming on February 19th, 2027 will be “the first time fans can experience the Star Wars universe in the gold standard film format,” referring to IMAX 70mm. A few months later, Star Wars: Starfighter is also getting released in IMAX 70mm on May 28th, 2027.
